Pink Collar Society Is Building the Beauty Industry Community Davianne Beepot and Kara King Believe Is Missing

Pink Collar Society

The beauty industry has never had a shortage of talented people.

What it does have is a connection problem.

Professionals are surrounded by social media groups, conferences, classes, brands and online communities, yet many still struggle to find the relationships that actually help them move forward. The introduction to the right educator. The brand willing to take a chance on them. The experienced professional who answers the question nobody else will. The collaborator who becomes a friend. The person who mentions their name when an opportunity comes up.

Davianne Beepot and Kara King believe those relationships should not be reserved for the people who already know the right people.

That belief is behind Pink Collar Society, the new beauty industry community the longtime friends and industry professionals will officially introduce this Sunday, August 30 at 6:30 PM in Fort Lauderdale, immediately following the Be+Well Florida Show.

And if you work in beauty, they believe you should be in the room.

Because Who You Know Really Does Matter

It may be uncomfortable to say, but Davianne and Kara are willing to say it.

You can be incredibly talented and still struggle because nobody knows your name.

You can invest thousands into education and still have no idea who to call when you need business advice.

You can follow hundreds of industry professionals online and still feel like you do not actually know anyone.

You can attend a conference with thousands of people and leave having barely met the person sitting three seats away.

And sometimes the difference between staying exactly where you are and discovering your next opportunity is simply one relationship you did not have before.

That is why Pink Collar Society matters.

It is being created to make those relationships easier to build.

Not through follower counts, popularity contests or cliques, but by intentionally bringing good people together and giving them reasons to actually know one another.

Two Friends Who Have Seen What the Right Relationships Can Do

Davianne and Kara did not come up with Pink Collar Society from the outside looking in.

They have lived this industry.

Davianne has spent more than a decade as an esthetician, spa owner, educator, distributor, brand builder and industry advocate. After building and eventually selling her spa, her career expanded into professional education, distribution, events, partnerships and helping connect beauty professionals with brands and opportunities.

Today, she is co-owner of Skin Wand Pro and 2B Bio Beauty USA, with a career that has allowed her to experience multiple sides of the professional beauty industry.

Kara brings another perspective. A Master Esthetician with 17 years in medicine, including 10 years in dermatology, she has built her career through hands-on experience, advanced aesthetics and professional education.

But Pink Collar Society did not come from their titles.

It came from their friendship.

Throughout their careers, Davianne and Kara have shared contacts, made introductions, exchanged advice, talked through ideas, connected each other with opportunities and supported one another without keeping score.

Eventually, they realized something.

What they had between them was exactly what they wanted to see more of throughout the industry.

What If We Stopped Gatekeeping the Good Stuff?

That question became part of the foundation for Pink Collar Society.

Because there is an enormous amount of knowledge, talent and opportunity within beauty, but too much of it stays inside individual circles.

Davianne and Kara want to start breaking those circles open.

Pink Collar Society is being built to connect estheticians, cosmetologists, hairstylists, barbers, nail professionals, lash and brow artists, makeup artists, PMU professionals, injectors, salon and spa owners, educators, students, beauty brands and industry partners.

That mix is intentional.

Your next opportunity may not come from someone who does exactly what you do.

It might come from the hairstylist who introduces you to a client. The educator who sees potential in you. The brand founder looking for someone in your market. The spa owner who needs your specialty. The experienced professional willing to mentor you. Or the person standing beside you at a mixer who eventually becomes your business partner.

Pink Collar Society wants to create more of those collisions.

More Than Networking

Davianne and Kara have a much larger vision than mixers.

Pink Collar Society is being developed around mentorship, education, philanthropy, brand relationships, workshops, professional opportunities, industry experiences and ways for members to both receive value and create it for someone else.

Because community should not only benefit you when you need something.

It should make you more connected, more informed and more capable of helping the next person too.

There will be opportunities for established professionals to mentor. Opportunities for educators to share their expertise. Opportunities for brands to build real relationships with the professionals using their products. Opportunities for newer professionals to get closer to people they might otherwise only know through a screen.

And opportunities that Davianne and Kara admit they cannot predict yet.

That is part of the point.

When you intentionally put talented, generous and connected people together, things happen.

Why You Should Be There Sunday

Sunday is not simply another industry mixer.

It is the first room.

The first introductions.

The first conversations.

The first group of people getting to experience what Davianne and Kara are trying to build before Pink Collar Society grows beyond its soft launch.

There will be networking, industry friends, brand gifting and a Skin Wand Pro giveaway, but those are bonuses.

The real reason to come is much simpler:

You do not know who you are going to meet.

And that person could matter six months from now.

Or three years from now.

Or by Monday morning.

Davianne and Kara want people to leave Sunday with more than a good time. They want them leaving with new names in their phones, new people following one another, introductions already being made and the feeling that they found a community they want to continue being part of.

Because careers are not built entirely through algorithms, certifications or perfectly curated social media feeds.

They are built by people.

This Is the Invitation

Pink Collar Society is for the professional who is tired of trying to figure everything out alone.

It is for the established professional who has knowledge and connections worth sharing.

It is for the student who wants to understand the industry beyond the classroom.

It is for the educator who wants to reach and mentor more people.

It is for the brand that wants relationships with professionals, not just transactions.

It is for the person who walks into networking events alone.

And it is for the person who already knows everyone and is willing to turn around and introduce someone new.

That is the culture Davianne and Kara want to build.

No hoarding connections. No waiting until you are “somebody” to belong in the room. No requirement to have a massive following or impressive title before your name deserves to be known.

Just people willing to show up, contribute and connect.

On Sunday, August 30 at 6:30 PM, Pink Collar Society begins bringing that vision to life at the Embassy Suites in Fort Lauderdale, following the Be+Well Florida Show.

You do not have to attend the conference to attend the mixer.

You just have to show up.

Because if Davianne Beepot and Kara King are right about one thing, it is this:

The people around you can change everything.

Pink Collar Society is being built to help you meet more of them.

And Sunday night is where it starts.
